Analysis of the mean squared derivative cost function

In this paper, we investigate the mean squared derivative cost functions that arise in various applications such as in motor control, biometrics and optimal transport theory. We provide qualitative properties, explicit analytical formulas and computational algorithms for the cost functions. We also perform numerical simulations to illustrate the analytical results. In addition, as a by‐product of our analysis, we obtain an explicit formula for the inverse of a Wronskian matrix that is of independent interest in linear algebra and differential equations theory. The pseudomonotone polar for multivalued operators

In this work, we study the pseudomonotonicity of multivalued operators from the point of view of polarity, in an analogous way as the well-known monotone polar due to Martínez-Legaz and Svaiter, and the quasimonotone polar recently introduced by Bueno and Cotrina. We show that this new polar, adapted for pseudomonotonicity, possesses analogous properties to the monotone and quasimonotone polar, among which are a characterization of pseudomonotonicity, maximality and pre-maximality. Furthermore, we characterize the notion of D-maximal pseudomonotonicity introduced by Hadjisavvas. We conclude this work studying the connections between pseudomonotonicity, variational inequality problems and upper sign-continuity.     

Solitons and other solutions to a new coupled nonlinear Schrodinger type equation

In this paper, the first integral method combined with Liu's theorem is applied to integrate a new coupled nonlinear Schrodinger type equation. Using this combination, more new exact traveling wave solutions are obtained for the considered equation using ideas from the theory of commutative algebra. In addition, more solutions are also obtained via the application of semi-inverse variational principle due to Ji-Huan He. The used approaches with the help of symbolic computations via Mathematica 9, may provide a straightforward effective and powerful mathematical tools for solving nonlinear partial differential equations in mathematical physics.     

Nonhomogeneous multiparameter problems in Orlicz–Sobolev spaces

This paper is concerned with the existence and multiplicity of solutions for a class of problems involving the Φ-Laplacian operator with general assumptions on the nonlinearities, which include both semipositone cases and critical concave convex problems. The research is based on the subsupersolution technique combined with a truncation argument and an application of the Mountain Pass Theorem. The results in this paper improve and complement some recent contributions to this field.     

Gap functions and global error bounds for differential variational–hemivariational inequalities

This paper concerns with the study of a differential variational–hemivariational inequality (DVHVI, for short) in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces. We first introduce the new concept of gap functions for the variational control system of (DVHVI). Then, we consider two kinds of gap functions which are regularized gap function and Moreau–Yosida regularized gap function, respectively, and examine the relevant properties of the gap functions. Moreover, two global error bounds which depend implicitly on the regularized gap function and the Moreau–Yosida regularized gap function, accordingly, are obtained. Finally, in order to illustrate the applicability of the theoretical results, we investigate a coupled dynamic system which is formulated by a nonlinear reaction–diffusion equation described by a time-dependent nonsmooth semipermeability problem.     

一种新的求解拟单调变分不等式的压缩投影算法

2020年Liu和Yang提出了求解Hilbert空间中拟单调且Lipschitz连续的变分不等式问题的投影算法,简称LYA。本文在欧氏空间中提出了一种新的求解拟单调变分不等式的压缩投影算法,简称NPCA。新算法削弱了LYA中映射的Lipschitz连续性。在映射连续、拟单调且对偶变分不等式解集非空的条件下得到了NPCA所生成点列的聚点是解的结论。当变分不等式的解集还满足一定条件时,得到了NPCA的全局收敛性。数值实验结果表明NPCA所需的迭代步数少于LYA的迭代步数,NPCA在高维拟单调例子中所需的计算机耗时也更少。     

单侧摩擦约束夹杂物的瞬态弹性波散射的时域边界元分析--反平面情况

应用时域边界元法研究了瞬态SH波对单侧摩擦约束夹杂物的散射问题，假设摩擦遵守库仑定量，当入射SH波足够强时界面会出现局部滑移，发现了一种有效的迭代技术以确定边界上的未知区域（滑移和粘着区）。算例计算了无限域中圆柱埋置夹杂物对瞬态SH波的散射问题。     

薄板弯曲问题的P型杂交解析有限元方法

本文采用两套变量构造有限元试函数空间，在单元内部要求试函数精确满足平衡微分方程，在单元边界上对位移和转角分别用Ｐｅａｎｏ升阶函数插值，然后利用广义变分原理建立了一种薄板弯曲问题的Ｐ型杂交解析有限方法，与常规有限元法相比，该方法不心进行过细的网格剖分，通过增加单元插值多项式的阶数Ｐ来提高精度，此外，该方法还具有积分计算只需在单元边界上进行、单元钢度矩阵和载荷向量具有嵌入结构、协调程度可以自动控制等优
